Child decorating chocolate cornflake Easter nests with mini eggs, a fun no-bake kids activity.

They’re perfect for tiny hands to help with, and decorating them with mini eggs turns them into the sweetest little Easter nests.

🍫 What you’ll need:

  • 200g milk chocolate
  • 100g cornflakes
  • Mini eggs (or any small chocolate eggs)
  • Cupcake cases

Child mixing melted chocolate for baking.

How to make them:

  1. Melt the chocolate
Break the chocolate into pieces and melt it in a heatproof bowl over simmering water or in short bursts in the microwave, stirring until smooth.
  2. Mix with the cornflakes
Pour the cornflakes into a large bowl, then add the melted chocolate. Gently stir until all the cornflakes are coated.
  3. Shape your nests
Spoon the mixture into cupcake cases and use the back of the spoon to press a little dip into the middle to form a nest shape.
  4. Add the eggs
Pop a few mini eggs on top of each nest while the chocolate is still soft.
  5. Leave to set
Pop them in the fridge to set.

Why we love this activity

It’s quick, simple, and perfect for little helpers. Mixing and spooning helps develop coordination and confidence, and the best part is sharing (and eating!) the finished nests together.
