Monster Biscuits – A Fun Food Activity for Kids
Looking for a simple, silly, and slightly spooky activity to do with your little ones? These Monster Biscuits are perfect for a rainy afternoon, a playdate, or even a Halloween treat.
They’re bright, funny, and oh-so easy to make, plus, kids love getting creative with their “monster faces”!

You’ll need:
-
200g white chocolate
-
12 long biscuits (like Biscoff or any finger-shaped biscuit)
-
Food colouring (we used blue, but go wild!)
-
Icing eyes or Smarties, jelly tots for eyes
-
A baking tray lined with baking paper

How to make them:
-
Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl or over a pan of simmering water.
Tip: Add a small splash of milk while melting, it helps make the white chocolate smoother and easier to dip! -
Add a few drops of food colouring to the melted chocolate and stir until you get your desired monster shade.
-
Dip half of each biscuit into the coloured chocolate, letting any extra drip off.
-
Lay them on the baking paper and quickly add icing eyes (or Smarties!) before the chocolate sets.
-
Let them dry for at room temperature, or pop them in the fridge to speed things up.
Tips for extra fun:
-
Try using different colours and numbers of eyes to make each monster unique!
-
Add a drizzle of a second colour or some sprinkles for “monster hair.”
-
Let the kids name their monsters before eating them!
Why we love this activity:
It’s messy in all the right ways, encouraging creativity, fine motor skills, and a big dose of giggles. And at the end, you’ve got a tray of delicious, colourful little monsters to share.
